The Helen Keller Festival celebrates local heritage, inspires hope, and fosters compassion by honoring the life and achievements of Helen Keller. Through collaboration with the Alabama Institute for Deaf Blind, they promote education, awareness, and accessibility for the deaf and blind communities. The inclusive event offers enriching experiences for all ages, including live music, educational experiences, arts and crafts, and engaging activities for children. • Thursday, June 26

  Helen Keller Festival Parade
  -6:00 pm
  -Downtown Tuscumbia
  -Parade will start on Commons, go down Main Street, Turn on 5th and back up Water Street.

  Kickoff Street Party
  -4:00—10PM
  -DT Tuscumbia
  -kick off the festival and check out the awesome shops downtown. They will have festival shirts for sale at the corner of Main and 5th. Directly following the parade, stay for the celebration featuring live music and tasty food from local restaurants.

  The Marketplace

  -The Helen Keller Festival is proud to host a wide variety of artists and select vendors in the Marketplace. You will also find a selection of retail vendors and commercial made products as well. The Marketplace is made up of vendors from all over the southeast. Come on down and see what’s in store.
