The Alabama A&M University’s Small Farm Research Center, in collaboration with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, is holding an agriculture workshop titled “Learn­ing and Growing With Us” on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Alabama Mu­sic Hall of Fame banquet hall, 617 U.S. 72 W.

Marcus Garner, Ur­ban Regional Extension Agent covering home horticulture for Lime­stone, Madison and Marshall counties, will be speaking about raised bed gardening, plant disease and insect iden­tification in the lawn and garden and soil test­ing and reporting. He will cover growing a garden in small spaces and understanding what diseases look like on the farm.
